Salvation does not bring you into the promised land, it leads you into the wilderness. This dynamic teaching gives us the understanding that after salvation, there is a battle waiting for us. John reveals how the Israelites were sustained by God in the wilderness in order to prepare them to face the 7 nations that would befall them. In order for us as believers to face the battles in our life, we must first be covered by the blood of Jesus then be properly prepared with the word of God and its principles to take on the principalities in the battles we are to overcome.
